Health safety and comfort at Vulcania

We are delighted to be able to welcome you to Vulcania for a beautiful day of exploration around volcanoes, natural phenomena, and the Earth in Space.

Following government announcements, the COVID Certificate will be mandatory for visitors aged 18 or over from Wednesday July 21 until Wednesday September 29 (inclusive). From Thursday September 30, the COVID Certificate will be compulsory from 12 years old.

The COVID Certificate is valid for access to the park if you are in one of the following 3 situations:
– Vaccination: proof of a complete vaccination schedule
– RT-PCR, antigen or self-test supervised by a healthcare professional: proof of a negative test of less than 72 hours
– RT-PCR or antigen test: proof of a positive test dated at least 11 days and less than 6 months

We encourage you to anticipate as much as possible by making an appointment with pharmacies near you or your vacation spot at https://www.sante.fr/cf/centres-depistage-covid.html

– Park pharmacy in Chamalières without appointment (8:30 am – 12:30 pm and 2 pm – 7 pm)
– 4 Routes pharmacy by appointment on 04 73 37 69 87 (10 a.m. – 11:40 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 4:40 p.m.)

You can now book your park access tickets and your stays on our online ticket office, our stays site and with our partners. Holiday vouchers are not accepted for reservations on our websites, but you can use them at our catering outlets.

The health, well-being and comfort of our visitors and our teams are at the heart of our priorities and we have implemented exceptional measures to ensure the health safety and tranquility of all our visitors.

In compliance with general government health instructions and Vulcania protocols, you will find below all the measures taken to ensure your health security:

  • Voluntary limitation of daily reception capacity. Please note, this measure implies that all visitors wishing to go to Vulcania this summer must have an access ticket (see section “Park access tickets”)
  • Increase in the number of shows performances and adaptation the capacities of each event, show, restaurant and shop for proper compliance with the rules of physical distancing.
  • Addition of a new catering unit, the Comptoir du cratère with take-away and outdoor terrace available.
  • Management of flows, queues of waiting and entertainment by our hostesses and receptionists trained in this exceptional system
  • Reinforcement of the cleaning and disinfection system throughout the day (50 hydroalcoholic gel distribution terminals, contact areas disinfected regularly, loan equipment cleaned and disinfected after each use …)

Device already acclaimed by 96% of our visitors * in 2020 and which has demonstrated its effectiveness (no case of COVID-19 has been detected in nearly 200,000 people who were present at the park during the 4 months of the season in 2020).

Park access tickets

Given the physical distancing standards in force, we voluntarily limit the daily reception capacity for your health security and your visiting comfort, it is therefore necessary to have an access ticket to ensure you can access at Vulcania on the desired day.

To do this, you can:

  • Buy your ticket on the Vulcania website until 8:30 a.m. on the day of your visit (subject to availability)
  • Buy your ticket at the park ticket office on the day of your visit (subject to availability)
  • Buy your tickets as part of a stay sold on the Vulcania Stays website
  • Have a Vulcania Annual Pass
  • Have a 2nd day ticket
  • Have a ticket purchased from your CE
  • Have a ticket purchased from a ticket agent
  • Be provided with an invitation issued by Vulcania
  • Have an unused 2020 ticket or a ticket issued for the period between 06/02/2021 and 06/15/2021
  • If you have a valid entrance ticket to the park (see list above), it is not necessary to call Vulcania to advise of your arrival.

Vulcania offers 4 food outlets to gain strength during your day of exploration:

Important: reservations for catering packages must be made online at least 48 hours before your arrival at the park.

Shopping in the park

Vulcania offers 3 stores that can accommodate a limited number of visitors simultaneously. We therefore advise you to anticipate your purchases before the park closes so that you can access your favorite items without too much delay.
