De <strong>cat\u00e9gorie 5<\/strong>, soit le niveau maximal sur l\u2019\u00e9chelle Saffir-Simpson, des vents moyens \u00e0 260 km\/h et des rafales \u00e0 <strong>plus de 300 km\/h<\/strong> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9s et les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts sont consid\u00e9rables. Il s\u2019agit du pire sc\u00e9nario pour les habitants d\u2019Acapulco, car la particularit\u00e9 de cet ouragan est qu\u2019il aura d\u00e9jou\u00e9 toutes les pr\u00e9visions.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Alors qu\u2019il n\u2019\u00e9tait qu\u2019au stade de temp\u00eate dans l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi du 24 octobre et qu\u2019il devait toucher la c\u00f4te \u00e0 ce niveau d\u2019intensit\u00e9, Otis a subi une intensification explosive, le faisant passer de simple temp\u00eate tropicale avec des vents \u00e0 104 km\/h, au stade d\u2019ouragan de cat\u00e9gorie 5 avec des vents \u00e0 plus de 230 km\/h, en <strong>seulement 12 heures<\/strong>. Il s\u2019agit de l\u2019intensification la plus importante pour le bassin \u00ab\u00a0Pacifique Est\u00a0\u00bb depuis l\u2019\u00e8re satellitaire (1966). D\u2019apr\u00e8s la NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), jamais auparavant un ouragan de cat\u00e9gorie 5 n\u2019avait touch\u00e9 terre dans l\u2019Est du Pacifique. Le dernier en date \u00e9tait l\u2019ouragan Patricia en 2015, en cat\u00e9gorie 4, avec des vents \u00e0 240 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>Quelques jours apr\u00e8s la catastrophe, Acapulco panse ces plaies. La ville est coup\u00e9e du monde avec de nombreuses routes coup\u00e9es par des d\u00e9bris qui jonchent le sol. <strong>70% de la population<\/strong> \u00e9tait encore <strong>priv\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9<\/strong> aujourd\u2019hui. L\u2019a\u00e9roport est d\u00e9truit et aucun vol n\u2019est au d\u00e9part et \u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e. Selon Rosa Icela Rodrigu\u00e9z (secr\u00e9taire \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la protection des citoyens), un pont a\u00e9rien devrait se mettre en place pour aider la population ainsi que les nombreux touristes \u00e0 rejoindre Mexico. On d\u00e9nombre provisoirement <strong>27 victimes<\/strong> et <strong>4 disparus<\/strong>. Ce nombre devrait malheureusement augmenter ces prochains jours.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir touch\u00e9 Acapulco, l\u2019ouragan Otis \u00e0 tr\u00e8s rapidement perdu en intensit\u00e9 en survolant les reliefs du pays.
