Il s\u2019agissait du premier vol habit\u00e9 du programme am\u00e9ricain de la <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">NASA<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>QU\u2019EST-CE QUE LE PROGRAMME ARTEMIS\u00a0?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb3\/4&Prime;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"393\" data-end=\"709\">Le <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">programme Artemis<\/span><\/span> est un programme spatial de la NASA, en collaboration avec de nombreux partenaires internationaux, qui vise \u00e0 ramener des humains sur la Lune de mani\u00e8re durable et \u00e0 pr\u00e9parer les prochaines missions habit\u00e9es vers Mars. Le programme s\u2019articule autour de cinq grandes missions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"711\" data-end=\"1357\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Artemis I<\/span><\/span>, qui a eu lieu en 2022, \u00e9tait un vol test autour de la Lune, sans \u00e9quipage. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Artemis II<\/span><\/span>, dont le d\u00e9collage \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu le 2 avril, a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 un vol test autour de la Lune, mais avec la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un \u00e9quipage. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Artemis III<\/span><\/span>, pr\u00e9vue en 2027, sera une mission test autour de la Terre afin de valider les atterrisseurs commerciaux. Ces trois missions s\u2019inscrivent dans une d\u00e9marche de r\u00e9p\u00e9tition g\u00e9n\u00e9rale afin qu\u2019en 2028, avec <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Artemis IV<\/span><\/span> et <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Artemis V<\/span><\/span>, des astronautes se posent sur la surface lunaire.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/4&Prime;][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb1951&Prime;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>LA MISSION ARTEMIS 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb3\/4&Prime;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1950\">Artemis II a d\u00e9coll\u00e9 du pas de tir <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Launch Complex 39B<\/span><\/span> du <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Kennedy Space Center<\/span><\/span> en <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Floride<\/span><\/span> avec quatre astronautes (trois Am\u00e9ricains et un Canadien). <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Reid Wiseman<\/span><\/span> (NASA) \u00e9tait le commandant de la mission, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Victor Glover<\/span><\/span> (NASA) le pilote, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Christina Koch<\/span><\/span> (NASA \u2013 premi\u00e8re femme autour de la Lune) \u00e9tait sp\u00e9cialiste de mission, tout comme <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Jeremy Hansen<\/span><\/span> qui est devenu le premier Canadien \u00e0 participer \u00e0 une mission lunaire.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1952\" data-end=\"2259\">Les quatre astronautes ont pris place \u00e0 bord de la capsule <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Orion spacecraft<\/span><\/span>, propuls\u00e9e par la gigantesque fus\u00e9e <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Space Launch System<\/span><\/span> (SLS). Le d\u00e9collage \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu le 2 avril \u00e0 00h24 (heure fran\u00e7aise) et pouvait \u00eatre retard\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 deux heures en cas de probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/4&Prime;][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb1953&Prime;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2261\" data-end=\"2484\">L\u2019objectif principal de la mission \u00e9tait de r\u00e9aliser le premier vol habit\u00e9 autour de la Lune avec le vaisseau Orion. Au cours de cette mission d\u2019une dur\u00e9e de dix jours, l\u2019\u00e9quipage devait r\u00e9aliser diff\u00e9rentes v\u00e9rifications :<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=\u00a0\u00bbjolie-liste\u00a0\u00bb]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tester les syst\u00e8mes de support de vie de la capsule (air, eau, contr\u00f4le thermique\u2026) ;<\/li>\n<li>D\u00e9montrer les performances en vol profond (effectuer plusieurs orbites autour de la Terre, r\u00e9aliser une injection trans-lunaire et suivre une trajectoire de retour libre, survoler la face cach\u00e9e de la Lune \u00e0 une distance d\u2019environ 8 000 km de la surface) ;<\/li>\n<li>Tester les phases critiques comme le bouclier thermique de la capsule ;<\/li>\n<li>Recueillir des donn\u00e9es scientifiques et op\u00e9rationnelles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2972\" data-end=\"3225\">Toutes ces phases de test ont constitu\u00e9 une \u00e9tape importante vers les missions Artemis IV et V, qui verront le retour d\u2019\u00eatres humains \u00e0 la surface de la Lune. Une r\u00e9p\u00e9tition g\u00e9n\u00e9rale comparable \u00e0 celle de <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Apollo 8<\/span><\/span> en 1968.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/5&Prime;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/5&Prime;][vc_empty_space height=\u00a0\u00bb20&Prime;][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb1952&Prime; img_size=\u00a0\u00bbmedium\u00a0\u00bb][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb2\/5&Prime;][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb1950&Prime; img_size=\u00a0\u00bbmedium\u00a0\u00bb][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/5&Prime;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>LE LANCEUR SLS (SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb2\/3&Prime;][vc_empty_space height=\u00a0\u00bb100&Prime;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3227\" data-end=\"3785\">Pour que les missions Artemis soient un succ\u00e8s, la NASA a d\u00fb d\u00e9velopper un lanceur \u00ab super-lourd \u00bb appel\u00e9 SLS pour Space Launch System. Apr\u00e8s le lanceur <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Saturn V<\/span><\/span> des missions Apollo, il s\u2019agit de la fus\u00e9e la plus puissante jamais construite par l\u2019agence spatiale am\u00e9ricaine. D\u2019une hauteur de 98 m\u00e8tres pour une masse au d\u00e9collage d\u2019environ 2 600 tonnes, la SLS d\u00e9veloppe une pouss\u00e9e de 39 000 kN au d\u00e9collage, soit l\u2019\u00e9quivalent d\u2019environ quinze <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Airbus A380<\/span><\/span>, l\u2019avion commercial le plus gros au monde.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Pour atteindre cette puissance, la fus\u00e9e SLS est compos\u00e9e de 3 \u00e9tages :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 propulseurs \u00e0 propergol solide, assurant plus de 75% de la pouss\u00e9e totale au d\u00e9collage ;<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019\u00e9tage central (Core Stage), propuls\u00e9 par 4 moteurs ;<\/li>\n<li>L\u2019\u00e9tage sup\u00e9rieur (ICPS \u2013 Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage), \u00e9quip\u00e9 d\u2019un seul moteur pour r\u00e9aliser l\u2019injection trans-lunaire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/3&Prime;][vc_single_image image=\u00a0\u00bb1956&Prime; img_size=\u00a0\u00bb400&#215;600&Prime;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>LA CAPSULE ORION<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4157\" data-end=\"4711\">La capsule Orion constitue la partie pressuris\u00e9e et habitable du vaisseau. Elle est positionn\u00e9e au sommet du lanceur SLS. C\u2019est dans cette partie que sont install\u00e9s les astronautes pendant toute la dur\u00e9e de la mission. D\u2019une hauteur de 3,3 m pour un diam\u00e8tre de 5 m, la capsule Orion est \u00e9galement compos\u00e9e de son module de service <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">European Service Module<\/span><\/span> (ESM). Construit par <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Airbus Defence and Space<\/span><\/span>, c\u2019est une contribution majeure de l\u2019<span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne<\/span><\/span> et un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel de la capsule Orion.
