En entrant en contact avec les gaz de l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re (oxyg\u00e8ne, azote), ces particules les excitent et provoquent l&rsquo;\u00e9mission de lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<h3>Les couleurs et cons\u00e9quences des aurores polaires<\/h3>\n<p>La couleur dominante est le <b>vert<\/b> (oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e0 moyenne altitude). D&rsquo;autres couleurs existent : le <b>rouge<\/b> (oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e0 haute altitude) et le <b>mauve\/rose<\/b> (azote \u00e0 basse altitude).<\/p>\n<p>Les fortes \u00e9ruptions solaires peuvent provoquer des <b>temp\u00eates g\u00e9omagn\u00e9tiques<\/b>, causant des pannes de satellites ou des perturbations \u00e9lectriques, mais sont <b>sans danger<\/b> pour la sant\u00e9 humaine
