La rivière des minéraux

Aimed at children aged 3 and over, this family activity mimics the experience of goldpanners. Each little explorer takes a bag of sand containing minerals (available in park stores and at the Namazu Kiosk), then pours the contents into a frame fitted with a sieve. Children then “wash” the sand with water, which flows through a 20-metre-long sluice to collect the minerals. An identification card tells them more about their precious harvest.
